Best Beaches in Ayia Napa

Ayia Napa has some of the best and most beautiful beaches on the island, including 14 blue flag beaches. The most famous beach is the one that appears in almost all advertising campaigns on Cyprus, the breath-taking Nissi Beach.

Nissi Beach

Located 3.3 km west of the centre of Ayia Napa, the 600-metre long beach of Nissi Beach is among the most famous in the region, attracting large crowds with its alluring combination of beautiful coast, music, bars and beach parties. Covered in fine, golden sands, the beach is formed inside a natural bay, and has shallow and calm seawaters, that are sheltered against winds. It forms part of the larger Nissi Beach area, and takes its name from the small island (‘nissi’ in Greek) that is located nearby, one of best beaches in Ayia Napa.
Facilities on the beach include toilets, changing rooms, sun beds, umbrellas, water sports facilities, beach bars, a diving school and organised events, whilst there a variety of accommodation, restaurants and kiosks in the area. Lifeguards with lifesaving equipment and first aid services are stationed at the beach in April, May, September and October, and in June, July and August.

Pantachou Beach

Located east of the harbour of Ayia Napa, the 1.2 km long beach of Pantachou (Grecian Bay Beach), is the longest coastal strip in the region, starting from the harbour and stretching all the way to the beach of Glyki Nero. The long, natural bay is covered in fine, golden sands and its crystal-clear seawaters are relatively calm, one of the best sandy beaches in Ayia Napa.

Located 5 km from the centre of Ayia Napa, the 350-metre long beach of Makronisos is actually a picturesque cluster of three bays, stretching from the well-sheltered Makronisos Beach. With fine, golden sands and relatively calm, crystal clear seawaters, it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in Ayia Napa.

Ayia Thekla Beach

Located 6,5 km west of Ayia Napa, the 300-metre long beach of Agia Thekla is a beautiful coastal stretch that is located within the SPA (special protected area) of the Natura 2000 network. The beach is named after the saint Agia Thekla, to whom the nearby carved temple and the new white church are dedicated. As a sandy, natural beach, it has a rocky bottom covered in fine, golden sands, and its crystal-clear seawaters are relatively calm, one of the most picturesque beaches in Ayia Napa.

Landa Beach is located 4 km west of the centre of of Ayia Napa, is 400-metre long and is situated halfway between the beaches of Nissi Bay and Makronisos. Vathia Gonia Beach is located 2.2km west of the centre of Ayia Napa, is a beautiful 300-metre long beach, located 400 metres east of the Nissi Beach. As a sandy beach with a natural rocky bay, it is covered in fine, golden sands, and its crystal-clear seawaters are relatively calm, one of the cutest beaches in Ayia Napa.

An innovative system (Seatrac) that offers autonomous full access to the sea for the disabled, is installed on the beach. Limnara Beach

Limnara Beach is located within the Cape Greco National Park, is 350m long and is mostly positioned in front of a hotel complex, Atlantica Mare Village. The beach has fine, golden sands and calm, crystal-clear seawaters, with rock pools at the edge of the bay. Located near the stunning sea caves of Cape Greco, the beach offers access to all that the National Forest Park, great for hiking and diving.
